BLACK successfully delivered a high-security embassy fit-out within the 40 Bowen Street campus, building a functional and culturally distinctive workplace tailored to the client’s operational needs.

The project incorporated a mix of open-plan workspaces, enclosed offices, and a dedicated staff breakout area. A key feature of the fit-out was a large timber wall integrating Māori design elements, reflecting the local culture of Aotearoa New Zealand and providing a strong sense of place within the workspace.

Due to the nature of the client, the project required extensive security detailing. This included the coordination and installation of specialist, client-supplied items such as high-security doors manufactured in the Netherlands. These elements required early planning, precise integration, and close collaboration with the consultant team to meet strict security and performance standards.
