Having previously delivered their Auckland office in 2020, BLACK was proud to once again partner with the MinterEllisonRuddWatts team—this time to deliver their new Wellington workplace.
The project involved a single-floor commercial interior fitout on Level 5 of the new BNZ Place building, completed while the tower was still under construction.
Special features of the build include native tawa joinery and wall panelling, acoustic printed panels with brass trim, custom rolled and folded perforated aluminium panels, curved brass light channels in an Autex feature ceiling, Turkish stone tiles, and custom-made feature light pendants.
With multiple interfaces and stakeholders to manage within a dynamic construction environment, the project required significant collaboration and problem-solving. Close coordination and detailed assessments between BLACK, the design team, and subcontractors ensured successful project execution, leveraging BLACK’s expertise in complex fitout projects.
The project was successfully delivered on time and on budget, with health and safety consistently scoring above 90% in both internal and external audits.
