DELEGAT

Client: Delegat

Location: Auckland

Type: Fitout

Cost: Confidential

Size: 1,250m²

Timeframe: 5 Months

A standout project for the BLACK team delivered in 2021, Delegat’s new office fitout in the PwC Tower, Auckland CBD involved a number of complexities that required significant solution-finding to resolve. With the provision of full-time commitment from the project team, the fitout was completed successfully and on-time.

Works across the 1,250m² space included ceiling and wall construction (solid glass feature), automated door installations, structural installations, structural and passive fire works for services, joinery and architectural finish applications, and services alterations/additions/upgrades.

There were a number of design changes introduced during the construction phase with many of the changes requiring significant reworks to areas already completed. BLACK worked diligently and proactively to capture these changes in advance of Contract Instructions (CIs) being issued, and receipt of formal paperwork given the time constraints required.

Our project team provided full-time commitment to the project and the client – a vast increase in anticipated time and resource commitments from the time of tender. Significant night and weekend works were provided and coming up with solutions that work, despite unforeseen changes.

The client was very satisfied with our transparency and collaborative, proactive approach while keeping cost and programme changes to a tight minimum.

The project was completed on-time, with defects closed within the two-week completion programme. Costs were within the revised budget. There were zero loss time injuries on this project, continuing BLACK’s exemplary health & safety record.
