JARDEN
Client: Jarden
Location: Auckland
Type: Fitout
Value: $3.1m
Size: 1,100m²
Timeframe: 4 Months
The project was completed within the new PwC Tower as part of an integrated fitout (SHF) with Fletcher Construction (MCHF). Despite challenges including procurement and manufacturing constraints, the project was delivered successfully and on-schedule by the BLACK team.
The highly architectural, full-floor fitout included a boardroom, meeting rooms, lounge with back-of-house, open plan work areas, catering kitchen and staff kitchen. The front-of-house area comprises a reception desk and waiting area, external meeting rooms and a main boardroom.
Finishes to the floor comprised of black steel windows and doors, Ambitec and Asona walls, feature ceilings, feature carpets with stone flooring and timber veneer joinery.
Despite a number of complex programming and logistic challenges, the implementation of revised construction methodologies and some creative procurement solutions resulted in BLACK managing to maintain contractual completion dates. This resulted in on-time delivery and significant cost savings to the client while meeting all safety, environmental and quality objectives.
SOLUTIONS
Collaboration with the Client, Stakeholders, and MCHF contractors to mitigate project risk, accelerate procurement and problem solve complex issues.
Complex advanced procurement strategies via early site access inspections and agreements to further reduce manufacture and procurement risk to the client.
Application and management of multi-platform safety policies and plans given a complex structure relating to the delivery while sections of the basebuild were being finalised and completed by the MCHF contractor.
“A collaboration among multiple stakeholders bringing together a timeless and sophisticated design for this leading advisory group, Jarden. BLACK went above and beyond which contributed to the successful outcome. A pleasure to partner with.”
